What marketing does a new leadership coaching practice need first?

Four things, and the fastest route to volume is not the website:

  • A named leadership level and situation. First-time managers, technical experts moving into leadership, senior leaders new in role. This determines everything downstream and it is the filter panels and buyers use.
  • A website with two paths. One for organizations, one for individuals, plus credentials, organizational experience, a packaged program with duration, and an explicit confidentiality section.
  • One packaged program. A name, a structure, a duration and a per-participant basis. Without this you cannot be purchased by an organization, only by an individual.
  • Provider panel applications. This is the most accessible early volume in the vertical, it requires no marketing spend, and it builds the track record that makes direct employer conversations credible.

Then start two or three HR or L&D relationships, approached with something useful rather than a pitch, and expect months before they produce.

Content and LinkedIn presence support all of it but will not generate a pipeline on their own in a market this relationship-driven.
